A dental emergency is any situation involving your teeth or gums that requires immediate attention to alleviate severe pain, stop bleeding, or prevent tooth loss. This includes knocked-out teeth, loose or displaced teeth, severe toothaches, broken or cracked teeth with pain, abscesses or infections with facial swelling, and injuries to soft tissues in the mouth with bleeding that won't stop.
At Emergency Dental, we operate like an urgent care facility for dental needs. We're open 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, with no appointments necessary. You can simply walk in during our operating hours and be seen based on severity and arrival time. For faster service, patients can book online through our website to secure their spot and minimize wait times.
We specialize in urgent dental treatments including tooth extractions, root canals, treatment for dental abscesses and infections, repair of broken or chipped teeth, treatment for severe toothaches, and care for dental trauma. Our focus is exclusively on addressing acute dental problems that cause pain or require immediate attention. Please note that we do not provide preventive care services such as routine cleanings, check-ups, or cosmetic procedures—we're specifically designed to handle dental emergencies when they arise.
We accept most dental insurance plans, including government-sponsored plans like Medicaid. Our administrative team is experienced in working with a wide variety of insurance providers to maximize your benefits and minimize out-of-pocket expenses. Even if you're unsure about your coverage, we encourage you to come in—we can quickly verify your benefits and explain any costs before treatment begins. For patients without insurance, we offer affordable self-pay rates and flexible payment options to ensure everyone has access to emergency dental care when needed.
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card (if you have dental insurance), a list of any medications you're currently taking, and information about your medical history. If you've had recent dental X-rays at another dental office, bringing those records can be helpful but isn't required. For your comfort, you may want to bring headphones and a fully charged phone to help pass the time while waiting. If you're in severe pain, we recommend having someone accompany you to drive you home after treatment, especially if sedation might be necessary for your procedure.
